Dirty Gremlin Dog

This is Pepper.  I have written about her before.  She is a Boston Terrier, but secretly I think she is a gremlin.  She is a weird, cat-like dog.

She enjoys short walks around town. Not too far though because she gets tired.

She prefers temperate climates.  Really, about 65-70 is her preferred temperature, otherwise she is shivering violently or panting heavily.  She likes blankets.  And by that, I mean, she likes sitting on your lap with the blanket covering her entire body.  After she gets good and comfy, she sighs 3 times in a row, and you know then that all is right in her world.

She enjoys table scraps and cleaning up the dishes after a big meal.  She prefers that you go ahead and wash the knives by hand.  Otherwise, she will split her tongue open when she is trying to clean them up in the dishwasher.  She is now a split-tongued, weird, cat-like dog.

She follows my son around scavenging for food.  If a chip, cracker, crumb, or grape is dropped you better believe it is gone within a second of it hitting the floor.  You would think the poor thing never gets anything to eat, but rest assured she is very well fed.

And, she loves rolling around in the dirt, cow manure, or anything dead.

She does not like baths.  You would think she would figure out that if she comes in looking that dirty she goes immediately to the bath.  So far, no, she hasn't got it figured out.  She has been having almost daily baths.  The dirty, stinkin' dog has had more baths than my kids the last couple of weeks.

Ta-ta for now,
Carrie
